Pick GTM Savants if you're a B2B tech, engineering or AI-led company that wants senior people to work through your go-to-market with you, and then help run it, through advisory, fractional leadership or hands-on execution. Pick ThriveFinity if you want your positioning fixed and the assets built from it, a website, a sales deck and an email sequence, at a price agreed first, and you'll run them yourself afterwards. One sells senior time over weeks or months. The other sells a defined build.
Both firms work on positioning and messaging, so on paper they overlap. What differs is what you're left holding at the end and who keeps the work going. I'm writing for one of the two firms, so I've stuck to what each of us publishes and given GTM Savants its own section on when it's the better choice.
Facts about GTM Savants come from its own website and Companies House, as published on 31 October 2026. Services change, so check its site before you decide. We have a commercial interest in this comparison and we're not affiliated with GTM Savants. Where its pages are silent, the table says "not published". That doesn't mean it doesn't offer the thing. Ask.
How Do GTM Savants and ThriveFinity Differ?
GTM Savants is a consultancy built around experienced commercial leaders. ThriveFinity is a studio that builds a fixed set of go-to-market assets.
GTM Savants' homepage describes it as a go-to-market consultancy for tech, engineering and AI companies, led by former founders, CEOs, MDs and senior executives. It lists seven services, from strategy development and execution to pricing, branding, fractional leadership and hiring support. Its About page profiles eight people, led by founding partners Eric Savant and Andrew Knight, with senior consultants and advisers in RevOps, sales, product, channels and AI automation.
Companies House lists GTM Savants LLP as an active limited liability partnership, incorporated on 4 November 2025. The firm is new as a legal entity, and its About page describes partners with long careers before it.
ThriveFinity sells defined-scope projects, each priced by a scoped estimate from a published starting price. The one that overlaps most with GTM Savants is the Go-to-Market Build: a positioning audit and messaging framework, then a 5-page website, a 20-slide sales deck and a 3-email sequence written from it, in 2 weeks (10 working days). It's a one-person company, and every paid deliverable is signed by a named verifier.

What Does GTM Savants Publish About Its Work?
GTM Savants publishes its method in detail, which makes it easier to compare fairly. Its strategy development page sets out six phases: Discover, Diagnose, Define, Develop, Discipline and Deploy. The Define phase produces "a structured go-to-market framework covering market focus, value proposition, messaging, sales motions". Develop turns that into sales and campaign plans. Discipline builds the operating rhythm around it, including responsibilities, review cadence, tools, KPIs and feedback loops.
The same page lists six modules of work: market and customer focus, value proposition development, messaging and market narrative, competitive and market analysis, route-to-market planning and execution readiness. For the last phase it says: "We support implementation through advisory, fractional leadership or hands-on commercial execution".
Around that core sit several specialist services:
- Its pricing strategy page covers pricing models, including cost-based, competition-based and value-based routes, packaging, and how pricing is explained to buyers.
- Its fractional leadership page offers a commercial director, a CMO or marketing director, a CRO, a sales director, a senior adviser to the founder and coaching for sales and marketing leads.
- Its hiring support page covers defining roles, interview support and assessing agency proposals.
- Its spinouts page is written for academic founders, from pre-spinout formation through to early seed and Series A.
- Its startups page includes help with pitch deck structure and messaging, and says it works hands-on over several weeks or months.
One page needs reading carefully. Its AI go-to-market strategy page is about using AI inside your commercial work. It says: "We help B2B teams apply AI to insight and execution without losing trust or control." It doesn't cover getting your company named in AI search answers.
Its free Go-to-Market Assessment is the first step it offers. The page says it's free and that most leadership teams can complete it in 7 to 10 minutes, and it gives you a structured view of your go-to-market readiness, which you can use internally or discuss with the firm.
What I couldn't find: fees, day rates, a minimum term, turnaround times or a guarantee. That's normal for a consultancy that scopes each engagement in conversation. It just means you'll need to ask.
A Framework You Run or Assets You Use
The clearest difference is the output. GTM Savants' pages describe frameworks, plans and operating rhythms, with senior people helping you run them. We hand over finished assets.
On assets, GTM Savants' branding page covers value proposition, messaging, positioning and design direction, and says design work "can be explored through AI tools for rapid iteration, or delivered through our network of specialist brand designers". It doesn't list a website, a sales deck or an email sequence as named deliverables.
Our Go-to-Market Build starts in a similar place, with a positioning audit and a messaging framework tested against your competitors and your buyers' own language. Then we build from it: the 5-page website, the 20-slide deck and the 3 emails, so all three describe the same company. You also get a 90-day action roadmap. You can see an example in our anonymised sample build.
Consistency matters because buyers now decide a lot before they talk to anyone. A 6sense study of nearly 4,000 B2B buyers, a fifth of them in the UK and Ireland, found buying groups filled four of their five shortlist spots on day one. CustomerThink's summary reports the figures.
| Shortlist spots filled on day one (4 of 5) | 80% |
|---|---|
| Ranked the shortlist before contacting any vendor | 94% |
| Made first contact with vendors themselves | 79% |
| Bought from their top-ranked vendor | 77% |
Source: David Dodd, CustomerThink, summarising the 6sense B2B Buyer Experience study. Nearly 4,000 buyer responses, 20% from the UK and Ireland. 6sense sells B2B marketing software, so treat the figures as directional. Chart by ThriveFinity.
The same summary says buyers first contacted sellers when they were 61% of the way through their buying process. So your site, your deck and what AI tools say about you do much of the selling before a sales call. Forrester puts the starting point plainly.
genAI searches are the starting point for B2B buyers
Neither model is wrong. If you have people to run the plan and you need senior judgement, a framework with experienced hands is the right purchase. If the plan exists in someone's head but the assets don't, a build is.
How Does Each Firm Measure Results?
GTM Savants measures the commercial engine, and we measure whether the message lands with buyers. Both matter, at different stages.
Its execution and operating systems page lists the signals it tracks: pipeline quality, conversion, sales cycle movement, campaign learning and follow-up discipline. It also covers CRM and pipeline discipline, dashboards and review points, and an operating rhythm of meetings and reports. Those are the right measures for a team already selling at volume.
Our Build is measured before it ships. Every claim in the site, deck and emails is sourced and signed, and the Accuracy Commitment covers factual errors reported within 30 days. What we can't measure for you is pipeline over the following year, because we hand over and don't run your sales. If you want that tracked, someone has to own it, whether that's your team, a fractional leader or a consultancy like GTM Savants.
When Is GTM Savants the Better Choice?
GTM Savants is the better choice when you need experienced commercial leaders working alongside you over time, rather than a set of assets. These are the situations where I'd point you there rather than to us.
- You're a B2B tech, engineering or AI-led company in one of its sectors, such as advanced manufacturing, proptech, energy, fintech or healthtech.
- You're a university spinout. It has a dedicated offer for academic founders, from pre-spinout to Series A. We don't.
- You need a fractional leader. It offers a fractional commercial director, CMO, CRO or sales director. We don't provide people.
- Your pricing or commercial model is the open question. It has a dedicated pricing strategy service.
- You need help hiring your first marketing lead or choosing an agency. Its hiring support covers both.
- You want an operating rhythm built: CRM discipline, KPIs, review cadence and coaching for your team while execution is under way.
- You're preparing to raise and want help with the commercial story in your pitch deck. Its startups page offers that.
The trade-off is the usual one for consultancy. Scope, price and duration get agreed in conversation, so get the named people, the deliverables, the fee and the notice period in writing.
Questions to Ask Any Go-to-Market Provider
Ask both firms the same questions. Start with the problem: is it the message, the motion or the people?
- Can a stranger read our homepage and say what we do and who it's for? If not, fix positioning before anything else.
- Do our site, deck and emails describe the same company? If not, who will rewrite them, and is that in the scope?
- What exactly will we hold at the end: a framework, a plan, finished assets, or all three?
- Who does the work, by name, and how many hours or days a week?
- What does it cost, what's the minimum term and what's the notice period?
- How will we know it's working at 30, 60 and 90 days, and who measures it?
- What happens if a deliverable contains a factual error?
For the longer version, read our guide to fixed-price go-to-market services. If you're not sure what a go-to-market strategy should contain, start with what a go-to-market strategy is. And if a part-time leader is the real question, fractional CMO vs strategy consultant compares the costs.
How We Wrote This Comparison
This page names a competitor, so UK advertising rules apply. Section 3 of the CAP Code says a comparison with an identifiable competitor must "compare products meeting the same needs or intended for the same purpose" and must "objectively compare one or more material, relevant, verifiable and representative feature". Regulation 4 of the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008 sets the same conditions and bars comparisons that discredit or denigrate a competitor.
So every fact about GTM Savants links to the page it came from and is dated. I haven't repeated its client results, testimonials or the career claims in its team profiles as evidence of quality, because I can't verify them. Where its pages say nothing, the table says so.
Why GTM Savants, and why now? When we asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity who can help a UK B2B startup with its go-to-market strategy three times each on 31 October 2026, GTM Savants was named in 7 of 12 answers. That's an observation about one question on one day. It doesn't rank anyone's quality, and AI answers change from day to day. ThriveFinity was named once across the 36 UK answers in that test, in one ChatGPT answer to a go-to-market question.

Where ThriveFinity Fits
We fit when you want go-to-market work as a defined job with a known starting price and something finished at the end. Every price below comes from our published pricing, plus applicable taxes.
- First Signal (free, under an hour): a check on your positioning. You can run the free First Signal now.
- Decision Brief (£749, 48-hour target): a signed decision on what to do next, with a 90-day plan, credited in full to a Build booked within 30 days.
- Go-to-Market Build (from £3,999, 2 weeks): positioning audit, messaging framework, a 5-page website, a 20-slide deck, a 3-email sequence and a 90-day action roadmap. Estimate within one business day, 50% advance once scope is agreed, 50% before handover.
- AI Visibility (from £2,250): if your buyers ask AI tools for a shortlist, we measure and fix how they describe you. Details on our AI visibility service page.
We're not the right choice if you need a fractional leader, coaching for your team, help hiring, a pricing study or someone to run your commercial operating rhythm. A consultancy like GTM Savants will serve you better there. If you're not sure yet whether the problem is your positioning or your motion, a Decision Brief works through that first.
We've compared ourselves the same way with Gripped and The Marketing Centre. Every page is listed on the comparisons hub.
