ThriveFinity vs Rank4AI for AI Search Visibility (GEO)

For a B2B company with Rank4AI on its shortlist, this shows what each firm publishes about audits, measurement, monthly prices and minimum terms, so you can decide which route fits.

Rank4AI suits a B2B company that wants an AI search specialist on a monthly retainer, with much of the work done away from its own website (Google and Bing profiles, directories, reviews and citations) and prices published by tier. ThriveFinity, which is us, suits a company that wants a defined AI search project first, with a published starting price and a re-test of the same buyer questions at day 30, before deciding on anything monthly. Both firms publish prices and both work only on AI search for this need. The main difference is a retainer with a minimum term against a project you can judge on its own.

Rank4AI also turned up in our own AI-answer test in a way worth explaining, because it affects how you should read any shortlist an AI tool gives you. That's covered under how we wrote this comparison.

Facts about Rank4AI come from its own website and Companies House, as published on 31 October 2026. Its pages don't say whether prices include VAT. Services and prices change, so check its site before you decide. We have a commercial interest in this comparison and we're not affiliated with Rank4AI. Where its pages are silent, the table says "not published". Ask.

A Monthly Programme or a Defined Project

Rank4AI and ThriveFinity are both small and both specialise in AI search, so the useful contrast is how you buy.

Rank4AI's homepage describes a UK AI search agency that helps businesses get recommended by six AI platforms: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI. Its About page names three founders, Adam Parker, Jimmy Connoley and Oliver Mackman, places the firm in Colchester, Essex, and says "We work exclusively on AI search visibility, nothing else." Companies House lists Rank4AI Ltd as active and incorporated on 15 July 2025, under the name AIPOPPY LTD until March 2026.

ThriveFinity sells AI search optimisation (GEO) as a short ladder: a free Signal, a fixed-price AI Presence, an AI Visibility project priced by estimate from a published starting price, and an optional monthly AI Growth plan. We're a one-person company, and a named verifier signs every paid report.

Rank4AI's FAQ says the audit is its one-off product and "Everything else is monthly retainer". Ours runs the other way round. The project comes first and the monthly plan is optional.

Side-by-Side Comparison

The table lines up what each firm publishes on the same thirteen points. Rank4AI's column quotes or summarises its own pages.

What Rank4AI Publishes About Its Work and Prices

Rank4AI publishes more of its price list than most agencies in this market. Its pricing page sets out three families of monthly work. Ecosystem Services involve no site work. They build your presence across Google platforms, then the Microsoft and Bing ecosystem, then directories, reviews and citations on the wider web. The top tier adds a share of voice PR strategy and "120-200+ active touchpoints".

Rank4AI Ecosystem Services, published monthly prices
Rank4AI Ecosystem Services, published monthly prices
Google Foundation£800 a month
Core Ecosystem (adds Microsoft, Bing and the wider web)£1,300 a month
Full Ecosystem (adds PR strategy and data assets)£2,500 a month

Source: Rank4AI, Pricing, checked 31 October 2026. As listed on the tier cards. The page does not say whether prices include VAT, and its FAQ gives different starting figures. Chart by ThriveFinity.

Full Agency, which includes work on your own site, runs from an £800 entry tier through £1,500 to £2,500, then £3,000 to £5,000, then £5,000-plus a month. Advisory, where Rank4AI advises and your team implements, is listed at £1,000, £2,000 and £3,000 a month.

Two things on that page are worth raising before you sign. The FAQ gives different starting figures from the tier cards. It says Full Agency starts at £1,500 and Ecosystem Services at £1,000, against £800 on the cards. And it describes the minimum term two ways: "Most engagements are 6 months minimum" and "3-month minimum, ideally 6". The written quote is what counts, so ask for one that states the price and the term together.

Every engagement starts with the audit. Its audit page describes a 30 to 50 page written report that scores your business on five signals, each from 0 to 100: entity clarity, ecosystem presence, content structure, trust signals and technical readiness. The report includes a 30-day and 90-day action plan and a benchmark against 3 named competitors, and the page says it's typically delivered within five working days. The homepage calls it free. The pricing FAQ calls it £1,500 one-off.

Its how we work page sets out six steps: audit, technical foundations, site and content, ecosystem, a monthly report and action document, and continuous monitoring of how AI systems describe you.

How Each One Measures Results

AI tools rarely give the same answer twice, so the measurement method matters more than any single score. In January 2026, SparkToro and Gumshoe had 600 volunteers run 12 prompts through ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI a combined 2,961 times. Rand Fishkin reported a chance of less than 1 in 100 that ChatGPT or Google's AI would give the same list of brands in any two responses to the same prompt.

That's why a useful measure is a rate across repeated runs, such as named in 7 of 10 runs, collected the same way before and after the work.

Rank4AI measures two kinds of thing. The Five Signal scores rate the inputs: how clearly AI systems can identify you, how present you are across other sites, how your content is structured. The monthly report adds AI appearance test results across six platforms, and the pricing page says testing is monthly on its Strategic tier and weekly on Partner. The pages I checked don't say how many questions are tested or how many times each one is run.

We measure outputs. AI Visibility asks each of 100 to 150 buyer questions 3 times in each of five AI tools, scores how often you're named, recommended and described correctly against 3 to 5 competitors, and runs the same set again at day 30. The arithmetic is in measuring AI share of voice.

Input scores and output rates answer different questions. An input score tells you what to fix. An output rate tells you whether the fixing changed what AI tools say. I'd want both, from either firm.

When Rank4AI Is the Better Choice

Rank4AI is the better choice when you want ongoing off-site work at a published monthly price and you're comfortable with a multi-month commitment.

  • You want your presence built across Google, Microsoft and Bing, directories and review sites every month. That's the core of its Ecosystem Services. Our AI Presence aligns up to 10 profiles once.
  • You want Copilot covered. Rank4AI names Copilot among its six platforms and has a Microsoft and Bing tier. We don't test Copilot.
  • You want advice and will implement it yourselves. Advisory is listed from £1,000 a month with strategy sessions and implementation briefs. We don't sell an advice-only AI search retainer.
  • You want a long written audit. It describes a 30 to 50 page report with action plans at 30 and 90 days.
  • You want weekly AI testing. Its Partner tier lists it.

The trade-off is the commitment. By its own FAQ, most engagements run six months or more, so get the term, the notice period and the VAT position in writing.

Questions to Ask Any Provider

Ask both firms the same questions and get the answers in writing. Google's page on whether you need an SEO, last updated in June 2026, tells buyers to check whether advice on AEO or GEO lines up with Google's official guidance, and says anyone who guarantees first place in search results should be dropped.

  1. Which buyer questions will you test, and can I see the full list before we start?
  2. How many times do you run each question in each AI tool?
  3. When is the re-test, and will it use exactly the same questions and settings as the baseline?
  4. Is the audit free or paid, and which version will I get?
  5. What's the minimum term, the notice period, and do prices include VAT?
  6. Which of the work happens on my site, and who does it?
  7. What happens if a report contains a factual error?

The longer list, with red flags, is in our GEO agency buyer's guide. My guide to running an AI visibility check shows how to get a baseline before either call.

How We Wrote This Comparison

This page names a competitor, so UK advertising rules apply. Rule 3.33 of the CAP Code says a comparison with an identifiable competitor must "compare products meeting the same needs or intended for the same purpose", and rule 3.34 says it must objectively compare material, relevant, verifiable and representative features, which may include price.

So every fact about Rank4AI links to the page it came from and is dated 31 October 2026. I haven't repeated its client statistics, audit counts or testimonials, because I can't verify them.

Why Rank4AI? When we asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity best AI visibility agencies in the UK three times each on 31 October 2026, Rank4AI was named in 2 of 12 answers, and rank4ai.co.uk was the most-cited source across those answers. ThriveFinity was named in none of the 12. The count shows what the tools did on one day. It doesn't rank quality.

The citation count has a likely partner. Rank4AI publishes 25 ranking pages of UK AI search agencies, by country and by city. Its Top AI Visibility Agencies UK 2026 page lists seven firms, with Rank4AI first and Found fourth. I can't show that one causes the other, so treat it as an observation. We publish comparison pages too, this one included, so read any publisher's list with the publisher in mind. I explain more of what drives these answers in why ChatGPT recommends your competitors.

Where ThriveFinity Fits

We fit when you want a measured before and after on a defined piece of work, without a six-month commitment up front. All prices exclude tax.

  • AI Presence Signal (free, under an hour): 12 buyer questions across GPT (OpenAI), Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, scored 0 to 100. It's automated and unsigned, and you can run the free AI Presence Signal today.
  • AI Presence (£849, 5 working days): a signed fact sheet, a scored audit of the places AI tools learn who you are, and up to 10 profiles created or aligned. Credited to AI Visibility if you book it within 30 days.
  • AI Visibility (from £2,250, 10 working days): 100 to 150 buyer questions across five AI tools, your 10 highest-value pages fixed, 5 briefs for new pages and a re-test at day 30. A scoped estimate within one business day, then 50% in advance once scope is agreed.
  • AI Growth (from £2,250 a month) or Quarterly Re-measurement (£595): ongoing work or tracking after AI Visibility. AI Growth has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice.

We're not the right choice if you want monthly off-site profile and directory work, Copilot coverage, or an advice-only retainer. Rank4AI lists all three. We don't buy links, and we won't promise that any AI tool will name you. The sample AI visibility report shows what you'd receive.

❓ Common Questions

How much does Rank4AI cost?
Its pricing page lists Ecosystem Services at £800, £1,300 and £2,500 a month, Full Agency from £800 a month to £5,000-plus, and Advisory at £1,000, £2,000 and £3,000 a month. The same page's FAQ gives a £1,500 one-off price for the audit and different starting figures in places, and it doesn't say whether prices include VAT. We checked it on 31 October 2026. Ask for a written quote.
Is the Rank4AI audit free?
Its homepage and audit page offer a free AI Search Visibility Audit, and its pricing page says every engagement starts with a free audit. The FAQ on the same pricing page says the AI Visibility Audit is £1,500 one-off. The pages don't explain the difference, so ask which version you'd receive and what it includes.
Why does Rank4AI appear so often in AI answers about agencies?
We can't say why. What we observed on 31 October 2026 is that rank4ai.co.uk was the most-cited source in the 12 answers our test collected, and that Rank4AI publishes 25 ranking pages of UK AI search agencies. Its Top AI Visibility Agencies UK 2026 page lists Rank4AI first. How often a page is cited tells you nothing about the quality of the firm behind it.
