ThriveFinity vs Winning by Design for B2B Go-to-Market Help

For a B2B company with Winning by Design on its shortlist, this shows what each firm sells, what it costs where the price is published, how long it takes and which go-to-market problem each one fits.

Pick Winning by Design if you run a recurring-revenue B2B company with a sales team and someone who owns your revenue data, and the problem sits inside the revenue engine: deals stalling between stages, uneven discovery calls, slow rep ramp. Pick ThriveFinity, which is us, if the problem is the story buyers see before they ever talk to you, and you want positioning, a website, a sales deck and emails rebuilt at a price you can see first.

Both firms will tell you who to sell to and what to say, so they look alike on a shortlist. They aren't. Winning by Design builds the system your sales, marketing and customer success teams run on, and trains people to use it. We build the buyer-facing material and the decision behind it, then hand it over. I'm writing for one of the two firms, so I've kept to what each of us publishes and given Winning by Design its own section on when it's the better pick.

Facts about Winning by Design come from its own website, checked on 31 October 2026. Services and prices change, so check its site before you decide. We have a commercial interest in this comparison, and ThriveFinity isn't affiliated with Winning by Design. Where its pages are silent, the table says "not published". That doesn't mean it doesn't offer the thing. Ask.

A Revenue System or a Buyer-Facing Story

The main difference is where the work lands: inside your sales organisation, or in front of your buyers.

Winning by Design's homepage says it helps "GTM executives at recurring revenue businesses diagnose revenue inefficiency" and design go-to-market systems that scale. Its consulting is grouped into three stages, Diagnose, Design and Deploy. Next to that sit a training catalogue called the Revenue Academy, an annual membership called the Growth Institute, and frameworks it publishes, including SPICED for sales conversations and the Bowtie for the customer lifecycle. Its team page says it was founded in Silicon Valley and lists more than 50 team members across 10 countries.

ThriveFinity is a one-person company, ThriveFinity (OPC) Private Limited, registered in Chennai, India, and it serves B2B companies in the UK, the US, the UAE and elsewhere. We sell defined pieces of work. The Decision Brief takes one go-to-market decision to a signed recommendation with a 90-day plan. The Go-to-Market Build turns your positioning into a 5-page website, a 20-slide deck and a 3-email sequence in 2 weeks. Both prices are on our site, in pounds and dollars.

So the first question isn't which firm is better. It's where your problem actually sits. If buyers arrive and then get lost in your funnel, look at a revenue system. If buyers never arrive, or arrive confused about what you do, look at the story first.

Side-by-Side Comparison

The table lines up what each firm publishes on the same thirteen points. Winning by Design's column quotes or summarises its own pages as they read on 31 October 2026, and ours comes from our service pages and published pricing.

What Winning by Design Publishes About Its Work

Winning by Design publishes more about scope and timing than most consultancies, though not prices for company work. Three of its services overlap most with what a B2B company usually means by go-to-market help.

The Go-To-Market Diagnostic benchmarks acquisition, retention and expansion against industry standards and maps your revenue engine to one Bowtie model. The deliverables it lists are a benchmarked Growth Index, stage-by-stage conversion analysis, the highest-impact gaps, a prioritised 30-60-90 day roadmap and a living dashboard you keep. Its FAQ says it takes 4 to 6 weeks from data collection to final readout, and that it "needs an executive sponsor, usually the CRO, and an owner of your GTM data, usually Rev Ops". That one line tells you a lot about who it's built for.

ICP Development runs for 6 weeks. It includes two to three data-gathering workshops, up to five interviews across sales, management and product marketing, and a review of up to five of your data sources. You get a validated ideal customer profile, segments and personas. The page is clear about two limits: "System implementation is not included in the engagement", and it doesn't source your target account list. It gives guidance and you buy the accounts from your own data provider.

Sales Ready Messaging builds conversation guides for your top three buyer personas from 4 to 8 field interviews with reps and leadership, with two review cycles, over about 5 weeks. Its FAQ separates it from training: the output is a working guide for each persona that your reps use on calls.

On price, its homepage says Growth Institute membership is $2,500 a year and individual Revenue Academy course certifications cost $500 to $2,500. For company engagements, every service page asks you to speak with its team. Its pricing FAQ explains what drives the quote:

Pricing reflects the level of diagnostic depth, the number of teams involved, and the degree of execution support required.

Winning by Design, homepage FAQ, How much do Winning by Design services cost? · winningbydesign.com

After an engagement, it offers an Impact Assurance Retainer for ongoing guidance. What I couldn't find on the pages I checked: a price for any company engagement, contract or payment terms, a guarantee, a headquarters address or a founding year. None of that is unusual for a consultancy that quotes per client. It just means you'll need to ask.

Timing is the one place both firms publish hard numbers, so here they are side by side. The chart shows the longest published duration for each piece of work.

How Each One Measures Results

The two firms measure different things, because they're fixing different parts of the business.

Winning by Design measures your revenue engine. Its Diagnostic scores each stage of the customer lifecycle against benchmarks and leaves you a dashboard that tracks your performance against them over time. Its FAQ is also careful about outcomes: the Diagnostic "does not promise a specific number". I'd read that as a good sign. A firm that won't promise a figure before it has seen your data is being straight with you.

We don't measure your pipeline. The Go-to-Market Build is measured at handover: does every claim on the site, in the deck and in the emails trace to a source, and do all three describe the same company. A named verifier signs it. The Decision Brief sets kill criteria, the signals that would tell you within the 90 days that the decision was wrong, so you can judge it yourself. If you also care what AI tools say about you, our AI Visibility service re-tests the same buyer questions at day 30.

Both kinds of measurement matter, at different points in the buying process. Forrester's 2026 study of business buying puts the start of that process before any sales conversation:

While genAI searches are the starting point for B2B buyers, leaders are increasingly relying on their internal and external buying networks

Forrester, The State of Business Buying, 2026, press release · forrester.com, 21 January 2026

The same release says the typical buying decision now involves 13 internal stakeholders and nine external influencers. That's a lot of people reading your site and your deck without you in the room. It's also a lot of people your reps have to handle once a deal is live. Which half of that problem hurts more is the question to settle first, before you hire anyone.

When Winning by Design Is the Better Choice

Winning by Design is the better choice when you already have a working sales motion and need it to convert better and scale. These are the situations where I'd point you there rather than to us.

  • You sell on recurring revenue and the leak is between stages. Its Diagnostic is built to find where acquisition, retention or expansion is losing you money, and we don't analyse funnel data.
  • You have the people it asks for: a CRO or similar leader to sponsor the work and a RevOps owner who can pull your GTM data.
  • Your reps need a shared method. It sells training, certification, sales kickoffs and coaching. We don't train teams.
  • You want marketing, sales and customer success on one model of the customer lifecycle, which is what its Bowtie and SPICED frameworks are for.
  • You're an investor working across a portfolio. It has a dedicated PE and VC programme.
  • You want a large team. Its team page lists more than 50 people in 10 countries. We're one person.

Its own Diagnostic page gives a fit test that's worth taking at face value:

A Go-To-Market Diagnostic is the right next step when growth is slowing or getting more expensive

Winning by Design, Go-To-Market Diagnostic FAQ · winningbydesign.com

The trade-off is the one that comes with any quoted engagement. You won't know the price until you've talked to its team, and the work assumes your data is ready. Its Diagnostic FAQ says timelines vary with data readiness and the number of sales motions in scope.

When ThriveFinity Is the Better Choice

We're the better choice when the problem is the message and the material buyers see, and you want it fixed once, at a known price, quickly.

  • You're earlier, or smaller, and don't have enough funnel data or a RevOps owner for a benchmark to mean much.
  • Your website, deck and emails describe three slightly different companies, and you want them rebuilt from one messaging framework.
  • You want the price before the first call. The Decision Brief is £749 ($999), and the Go-to-Market Build starts from £3,999 ($5,299), priced by a scoped estimate.
  • You need it in weeks, not quarters. The Brief runs on a 48-hour target and the Build takes 2 weeks.
  • You want every claim in your materials sourced and signed, with a correction within 5 working days if a cited source doesn't support one, and no fee for a deliverable we can't fix.
  • You're outside software. Winning by Design's pages are written for recurring-revenue businesses. Ours aren't limited to any sector.

If you're not sure who you should be selling to in the first place, start with the segment. Our walkthrough of segmentation, targeting and positioning covers the same ground an ICP project starts from.

Questions to Ask Any Provider

Ask each provider the same questions and get the answers in writing. These are ordered by how much they'll change your decision.

  1. Where do you think our problem sits: before a buyer talks to us, or after? What makes you say that?
  2. What data and which people do you need from us, and how long will they be tied up?
  3. What exactly do we receive at the end, in what format, and who on our side will own it?
  4. What does it cost, what's included and excluded, and is there a retainer after the main work?
  5. How long will it take, and what usually makes it slip?
  6. Who does the work day to day, and can we meet them before we sign?
  7. What happens if a deliverable is wrong, or doesn't fit how we actually sell?

How We Wrote This Comparison

This page names a competitor, so UK advertising rules apply to it. Section 3 of the CAP Code says a comparison with an identifiable competitor must "compare products meeting the same needs or intended for the same purpose" and must objectively compare features that are material, relevant, verifiable and representative. Regulation 4 of the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008 sets the same conditions and bars comparisons that discredit or denigrate a competitor.

The shared need here is getting go-to-market help for a B2B company: who to sell to, what to say and what to sell with. Every fact about Winning by Design links to the page it came from and was checked on 31 October 2026. Its homepage shows a review rating, customer counts and customer stories. I haven't repeated any of them, because I can't verify them and quoting them would only repeat its marketing.

Why this firm? When we asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity who can help a B2B startup in the US with its go-to-market strategy three times each on 31 October 2026, Winning by Design was named in 5 of 12 answers. ThriveFinity was named in none. We ran the test through each provider's API, and it measures how often a firm is mentioned, nothing about the quality of its work.

Where ThriveFinity Fits

We fit when you want one go-to-market decision made, or one set of buyer-facing assets rebuilt, as a defined job with a known price.

  • Decision Brief (£749 ($999), 48-hour target): offer validation and one signed go-to-market decision with a 90-day plan. The fee is credited in full to a Build booked within 30 days.
  • Go-to-Market Build (from £3,999 ($5,299), 2 weeks): positioning audit, messaging framework, a 5-page website, a 20-slide deck and a 3-email sequence. Estimate within one business day, 50% advance once scope is agreed, 50% before handover.

We're not the right choice if you need funnel analytics, a revenue data model, sales process design or rep training, or if you want a team on site for a kickoff. ❓ Common Questions

Is Winning by Design a training company or a consultancy?
Both, from its own pages. Its homepage lists Diagnose, Design and Deploy consulting services next to a training catalogue called the Revenue Academy and an annual Growth Institute membership. If you want a consulting engagement, ask for the specific service by name, such as the Go-To-Market Diagnostic or ICP Development, and get its scope in writing.
Does Winning by Design publish its prices?
For individuals, yes. Its homepage puts Growth Institute membership at $2,500 a year and individual course certifications at $500 to $2,500. For company engagements, no. Its service pages ask you to speak with its team, and its FAQ says pricing reflects diagnostic depth, the number of teams involved and the execution support needed. Checked 31 October 2026.
Can I use Winning by Design and ThriveFinity together?
Yes, and the work doesn't overlap much. A Go-to-Market Build gives you one positioning and the buyer-facing assets built from it. A firm like Winning by Design works on the sales system behind them: the funnel data, the process and how your reps run conversations. Some companies settle the message first, others fix the funnel first.
