ThriveFinity vs KickDrum Partners for B2B Go-to-Market

For a B2B tech company planning its go-to-market in Europe, this shows whether you need senior people working inside your team for months or a fixed build of your message and assets, from what each firm publishes.

Pick KickDrum Partners if you're a B2B technology company that needs senior people working inside your team across marketing, sales or product, often for months, to plan and run a go-to-market in the UK and Europe. Pick ThriveFinity, which is us, if you want a defined piece of work: one positioning, then a website, a sales deck and emails built from it, at a price agreed first, which you then run yourself. KickDrum is a UK company based near Taunton, in Somerset. We're a one-person company registered in India, working for B2B companies in the UK, the EU and elsewhere.

Neither firm is based in the EU. KickDrum's pages say its focus is the UK and European markets, which suits an EU tech company expanding into the UK.

Facts about KickDrum Partners come from its own website and Companies House, as published on 31 October 2026. Services and prices change, so check its site before you decide. We have a commercial interest in this comparison and we're not affiliated with KickDrum. Where its pages are silent, the table says "not published". That doesn't mean it doesn't offer the thing. Ask.

A Fractional Senior Team or a Fixed Build

The main difference is who does the work and for how long. KickDrum lends you senior people part-time. We deliver a fixed set of assets and hand them over.

KickDrum's homepage says "We provide a high-impact alternative to traditional permanent hires or broad-brush agencies." It describes two kinds of client: tech firms building a UK and EMEA go-to-market, and founder-operated B2B companies that have hit a growth ceiling. Companies House lists KickDrum Partners Ltd as active, incorporated on 20 February 2024, with its registered office at The Old School, Corfe, Taunton, and its business as public relations and management consultancy.

Our Go-to-Market Build starts with a positioning audit and a messaging framework. Then we build a 5-page website, a 20-slide sales deck and a 3-email sequence from it, so all three describe the same company. It takes 2 weeks from agreed scope, and every claim in the assets is sourced and signed.

So the question is whether you need people or deliverables. A fractional team can run campaigns, recruit partners and manage your operations. A fixed build gets the message right once and stops.

Side-by-Side Comparison

The table lines up what each firm publishes on the same twelve points. KickDrum's column quotes or summarises its own pages as they read on 31 October 2026.

What KickDrum Publishes About Its Work

KickDrum publishes who it is and what it covers in some detail, and nothing about price. Its homepage groups the work under four headings.

  • Strategy: diagnosing your growth challenges and building a go-to-market and product strategy, with senior leadership you don't have in-house.
  • Content: turning the plan into messaging and the foundational materials for your buyer's journey.
  • Campaigns: marketing and fractional business development to build pipeline and a predictable channel to market.
  • Execution: the sales and marketing operations behind the strategy, including managing your technology stack.

Its GTM strategy page splits clients into startups, fast-growing businesses and established tech brands. For startups it says it will define your ideal customer profile, refine your messaging and build your first sales engine, and it lists project-based GTM audits. For established brands, it joins your team to run projects and campaigns. It also builds partner channels: finding, recruiting and enabling partners in a structured way.

Its About page names five partners: Andrew Moloney as Managing Partner, Camaryn Berry as Marketing Partner, Sian Aherne as Communications Partner, Leigh Huntridge as Business Development Partner, and Craig Chadwell as Partner for Product and Operations. It says the core team draws on "a bench of selected associate partners" as needed, and that you don't need the whole team.

What I couldn't find: prices, day rates, notice periods, a guarantee, or anything about AI search.

Where the Go-to-Market Work Overlaps

Both firms will define who you sell to and write your messaging. KickDrum then carries that into campaigns, sales and channels. We carry it into finished assets.

KickDrum's own FAQ draws a line between marketing strategy and go-to-market strategy that's worth reading before you buy from anyone:

A GTM strategy considers all elements that will be required in order to successfully execute in the target segment.

KickDrum Partners · GTM strategy page, FAQ

That's a fair test of any proposal, ours included. Our Decision Brief and Build cover the positioning, the message and the assets buyers see. They don't cover your sales hiring, partner recruitment or campaign execution. KickDrum's scope does, because it puts senior people into those roles.

The assets matter more than they look. Forrester's State of Business Buying, 2026 says "genAI searches are the starting point for B2B buyers", and that the typical buying decision now involves 13 internal stakeholders and nine external influencers. My view is that many of those people meet you through your site and deck before anyone gets on a call. The Build's website is AI visibility and SEO ready. KickDrum's pages don't mention AI search.

If you want to see what our assets look like before you talk to anyone, the sample Go-to-Market Build shows a full set.

How Each One Is Priced and Committed

KickDrum doesn't publish prices, and its terms depend on the shape of the engagement. We publish a starting price and work to an agreed scope.

Its What We Do page says "We can operate from project to project or on a retainer basis", and that support can scale up or down. Its GTM strategy FAQ says projects can be as short as a one or two day workshop, or run to "a multi-year fractional partnership that flexes as the business evolves." For the fractional CMO service, the fractional CMO page is specific: "Typically, a minimum of 6–12 months, though many partners retain us long-term as they scale." It says support is usually reviewed quarterly.

The only cost statement I found is that the fractional CMO service comes "at a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire". That depends on the hire, so ask for a written quote.

Ours works the other way round. The Decision Brief is £749 (€899). The Go-to-Market Build starts at £3,999 (€4,699), with a scoped estimate within one business day, 50% paid once the scope is agreed and 50% before handover. There's no minimum term, because the work ends when it's delivered. If you want an outside view of what fractional leadership costs in the UK, I compare the ranges in fractional CMO vs strategy consultant vs AI.

When KickDrum Is the Better Choice

KickDrum is the better choice when you're a B2B tech company and the gap is senior people, not a single piece of work. These are the situations where I'd point you there rather than to us.

  • You're an EU tech company entering the UK, or a tech company building a UK and EMEA go-to-market. That's the first client type its homepage names.
  • You need partners and channels built. It recruits and enables partners. We don't.
  • You need sales and business development capacity, not only marketing. It sells fractional business development. We don't sell or prospect for you.
  • You need product management help alongside marketing. It offers fractional product management.
  • You want PR and communications. One of its five partners is a communications partner, and Companies House lists public relations among its activities.
  • You want senior people managing your team and suppliers against KPIs for months. Its fractional CMO page describes exactly that.

The trade-off is commitment and visibility of cost. A fractional CMO engagement typically runs at least 6 to 12 months, and the price comes in a proposal. If you're outside tech, its FAQ says it may not take you on.

How to Decide

Decide whether you need people for months or deliverables in weeks, then ask each firm the same questions.

  1. Is the message clear and consistent across your site, deck and emails? If not, fix that before you add people to push it.
  2. Do you have someone in-house to run campaigns and sales once the assets exist? If yes, a fixed build may be enough. If no, you need a team.
  3. Do you need partners, channels or sales hires? That's fractional team work.
  4. What's the total cost for the first six months, and what's the minimum term and notice period?
  5. What exactly is delivered in the first 30 days, and who delivers it?
  6. Are you a tech company? If not, check fit with KickDrum first.

How We Wrote This Comparison

This page names a competitor, so comparative advertising rules apply. Article 4 of EU Directive 2006/114/EC allows a comparison only if it covers services "meeting the same needs or intended for the same purpose" and "objectively compares one or more material, relevant, verifiable and representative features". Rules 3.33 and 3.34 of the UK CAP Code say the same, and we publish from the UK site.

So every fact about KickDrum links to the page it came from and is dated. I haven't repeated its testimonials or its partners' career claims as proof of anything, because I can't verify them. Where its pages say nothing, the table says so. Its Why KickDrum page explains the name and says you can engage it for one project or a longer relationship.

Why KickDrum? When we asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity who can help a B2B startup in Europe with its go-to-market strategy three times each on 31 October 2026, KickDrum Partners was named in 3 of 12 answers. It was also named in our UK answers that day. That's how often it was named, not a ranking of quality.

Where ThriveFinity Fits

We fit when you want the message fixed once and built into your main assets, at a price agreed before work starts. Every price below comes from our published pricing, in GBP with the set EUR price in brackets.

  • First Signal (free, under an hour): a check on your positioning. You can run the free First Signal today.
  • Decision Brief (£749 (€899), 48-hour target): a named verifier researches your offer and market, tests it against four buyer roles and signs one go-to-market decision with a 90-day plan. Every Build starts with one, and its fee is credited in full to a Build booked within 30 days.
  • Go-to-Market Build (from £3,999 (€4,699), 2 weeks): positioning audit, messaging framework, a 5-page website, a 20-slide deck, a 3-email sequence and a 90-day roadmap, with one design revision.

We're not the right choice if you need senior people inside your team for months, partner and channel building, sales capacity or product management. KickDrum or another fractional team will serve you better there.

The two can work in sequence. A fixed build gives a fractional team a clear message and finished assets to run with from week one. Every comparison we publish is on the comparisons hub.
