First Page Sage suits a B2B company that wants AI search worked on as an ongoing content and outreach programme, with new pages written every month, efforts to get named in list articles and databases, and review and sentiment monitoring, on month-to-month terms. Its own pricing report puts its range at $6,000 to $12,000 a month. ThriveFinity, which is us, suits a B2B company that wants AI search bought as a defined job, with a published price, a fixed list of buyer questions and a re-test of those same questions at day 30. The difference is mostly between a long-running programme and a single measured project.
Google's page on whether you need an SEO, last updated in June 2026, now tells you to ask anyone selling AEO or GEO services whether their advice lines up with Google Search's official guidance. It's a fair question for both firms here, including us.
Facts about First Page Sage come from its own website and its Clutch directory profile, as published on 31 October 2026. Services and prices change, so check its site before you decide. We have a commercial interest in this comparison and we're not affiliated with First Page Sage. Where its pages are silent, the table says "not published". That doesn't mean it doesn't offer the thing. Ask.
Two Different Ways to Buy GEO
The two options differ in how long they expect to work with you and in what the work produces.
First Page Sage's homepage calls it an SEO and GEO agency that grows your business by understanding your brand, audience and goals, and says it has over 17 years of experience. Its company page names Evan Bailyn as Founder and CEO and says most of its clients are midsized companies. Its locations page describes a remote agency that works with businesses across the US.
GEO (generative engine optimisation) and AEO (answer engine optimisation) are two names for roughly the same job: getting AI assistants to find, cite and correctly describe your company. First Page Sage sells both under separate pages. I explain the term in what generative engine optimisation is.
ThriveFinity sells AI search optimisation (GEO) as separate pieces of work: a free Signal, a fixed-price AI Presence service, an AI Visibility service priced by estimate and an optional monthly AI Growth plan. We're a one-person company registered in India, based in Chennai, serving B2B companies in the UK, the US and elsewhere. We have no US office. A named verifier signs every paid report.
So the first question is whether you want a content team for years or a fixed job with a before and after.
Side-by-Side Comparison
The table lines up what each firm publishes on the same thirteen points. First Page Sage's column quotes or summarises its own pages, plus its Clutch listing where its site is silent.

| Engagement model | Monthly deliverable credits (its pricing report). Its process page describes 6 to 10 new pages a month and typical campaigns of 2 to 5 years | AI Visibility: 10 working days, priced by estimate from a published starting price, then optional AI Growth or Quarterly Re-measurement |
| Minimum term | Month-to-month (its pricing report) | AI Growth: 3 months, then 30 days’ notice |

| Base and size | A remote agency working with businesses across the US. Founded 2009, 50 to 249 employees (Clutch) | One-person company registered in Chennai, India, serving B2B companies in the UK, US and elsewhere |
"Not published" means the pages we checked didn't say. Clutch figures are directory listings, which agencies usually manage themselves. ThriveFinity prices show GBP with the set USD price in brackets. US companies are billed in USD, plus applicable taxes.
What First Page Sage Publishes About Its AI Search Work
First Page Sage's GEO page says the service launched on 9 May 2023 and names ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity and Claude. It lists six elements of the work:
- list creation and optimisation, meaning appearing in highly ranked list articles
- database inclusion, in established databases that AI models draw on
- website authority, through high rankings on Google and Bing
- online review management
- achievement publicisation, such as awards, accreditations, company size and usage statistics
- social sentiment monitoring
Most of that list happens away from your own website, which matches how AI answers are built. When an assistant names firms, it often leans on lists, directories and reviews written by someone else. I looked at why that happens in why ChatGPT recommends your competitors.
Two items deserve a question in any proposal. List creation needs a plain answer about which lists, and whether anything is paid for. Review management needs an answer about what gets sent to your customers. Neither is a criticism. They're the parts of off-site work where the method matters most.
Its AEO page adds a full AEO audit, authoritative content, technical implementation with structured data and schema, continuous optimisation, achievement publicisation and strategic coordination. Its process page, written for its SEO work, describes 6 to 10 new conversion-optimised pages a month and says typical campaigns last 2 to 5 years.
Google's own position is worth keeping in mind when any firm describes AI-specific work:
There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimizations necessary.
That covers Google's AI features, not ChatGPT or Claude. It does support First Page Sage's inclusion of website authority, through Google and Bing rankings, as one of its six elements.
What Each One Publishes About Price and Terms
I couldn't find a pricing page on First Page Sage's site. The clearest statement of its prices is in its own research. Its GEO and AEO pricing report, published on 7 October 2026, lists First Page Sage at $6,000 to $12,000 a month, priced in monthly deliverable credits, with month-to-month as the stated commitment. Its Clutch profile adds a minimum project size of $10,000+.
The same report also gives market-wide figures. It says it compiled 1,146 price quotes from 214 agencies between 6 July and 2 October 2026. First Page Sage sells GEO itself, so treat the figures as indicative.
| Starter median | $2,950 |
|---|---|
| Overall median | $6,850 |
| Enterprise median | $31,500 |
Source: First Page Sage, GEO & AEO Pricing Statistics: 2026 Report, 7 October 2026. Published by an agency that sells GEO. Based on 1,146 quotes from 214 agencies, July to October 2026, per the report. Chart by ThriveFinity.
We publish every price on our pricing page. The AI Visibility service starts at £2,250 ($2,949), with an estimate within one business day once we know the scope, 50% paid once the scope is agreed and 50% before handover. AI Growth starts at £2,250 ($2,949) a month, with a 3-month minimum and then 30 days' notice. For a US company, those are set USD prices, not exchange-rate conversions.
On month-to-month terms, First Page Sage is more flexible than our AI Growth plan. On a one-off project, ours is the smaller commitment. Which matters more depends on whether you expect to need the work for months or years.
How Each One Measures Results
Measurement is where GEO proposals differ most, and it's hard to judge on a sales call. AI tools rarely give the same answer twice.
In January 2026, SparkToro and Gumshoe had 600 volunteers run 12 prompts through ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI a combined 2,961 times. Rand Fishkin reported a chance of less than 1 in 100 that ChatGPT or Google's AI would give the same list of brands in any two responses to the same prompt asked 100 times.
So a single run of each question tells you very little. What you want is a rate, such as named in 7 of 10 runs, measured the same way before and after the work. I go through the maths in measuring AI share of voice.
First Page Sage's GEO page shows an analytics dashboard image but doesn't describe the metrics, the number of prompts or the runs per prompt. Its AEO page says it monitors performance across traditional search and answer engines and adjusts based on conversion data. Its process page says a reporting specialist monitors the campaign's KPIs and leading indicators. Ask to see a sample report before you sign.
We measure one thing in a fixed way. We ask each of 100 to 150 buyer questions 3 times in each of five AI tools, record how often you're named, recommended and described correctly against 3 to 5 competitors, and run the same set again at day 30.
When First Page Sage Is the Better Choice
First Page Sage is the better choice when you want a long-running programme of content and outreach and you'd rather not sign a minimum term. These are the situations where I'd point you there rather than to us.
- You want new pages written for you every month. Its process page describes 6 to 10 new pages a month. We write 5 briefs for new pages and don't produce content at volume.
- You want off-site work done for you: list articles, databases, reviews and sentiment monitoring. Its GEO page lists all four. We fix your own pages and profiles, and we don't run review campaigns.
- You want month-to-month terms from the start. Its pricing report says it publishes them. Our AI Growth plan has a 3-month minimum.
- You want SEO, lead generation, web design or a fractional CMO from the same firm. Its menu lists all of those.
- You're a midsized company in one of the industries it covers. Its company page says most of its clients are midsized, and it has pages for B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, fintech, manufacturing and others.
The trade-off is visibility into method. Its pages say less about measurement than about the work itself, so get the reporting detail in writing.
Questions to Ask Any Provider
Ask both firms the same questions and get the answers in writing. Google's hiring advice is a good start. It suggests asking what results to expect and in what timeframe, how success is measured, and whether they'll share every change they make to your site. It also has a blunt line for anyone who promises the top spot:
If they guarantee you that their changes will give you first place in search results, find someone else.
Then add the GEO-specific questions:
- Which buyer questions will you track, and can I see the full list before we start?
- Which AI tools do you test, and how many times do you run each question?
- When is the re-test, and will it use exactly the same questions and settings as the baseline?
- Which lists, directories and review sites will you approach, and is any placement paid for?
- What does a month of deliverable credits buy, and what's the notice period?
- What happens if a report contains a factual error?
The longer version, with red flags, is in our GEO agency buyer's guide. Before any of these calls, get a baseline of your own. My guide to running an AI visibility check shows how to do it in an afternoon.
How We Wrote This Comparison
We wrote this page because AI tools put First Page Sage on US shortlists. When we asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity best AI visibility agencies in the US three times each on 31 October 2026, First Page Sage was named in 6 of 12 answers. ThriveFinity was named in none of them.
| Omniscient Digital | 7 of 12 |
|---|---|
| WebFX | 7 of 12 |
| First Page Sage | 6 of 12 |
| Siege Media | 6 of 12 |
| NoGood | 6 of 12 |
| ThriveFinity | 0 of 12 |
Source: ThriveFinity AI-answer test, method in this section, 31 October 2026. One question, four AI models through their APIs, three runs each. A count of mentions, not a ranking of quality. Chart by ThriveFinity.
The test used the models through their APIs (gpt-5.4-mini, claude-haiku-5-5, gemini-3.5-flash and Perplexity sonar), not the consumer apps, and 12 answers is a small sample. It tells you how often a name came up. It says nothing about who does better work.
This page names a competitor, so advertising rules apply. Section 3 of the UK CAP Code says a comparison with an identifiable competitor must compare products meeting the same needs and must objectively compare material, relevant, verifiable and representative features. Regulation 4 of the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008 sets the same conditions. In the US, the FTC's policy statement on comparative advertising encourages naming competitors, but requires clarity and, where needed, disclosure.
So every fact about First Page Sage links to the page it came from and is dated. I haven't repeated its ranking claims, client logos, case study figures or testimonials, because I can't verify them and quoting them would only repeat its marketing. Where its pages say nothing, the table says so.

Where ThriveFinity Fits
We fit when you want AI search work as a defined job with a known price and a measured before and after. Every price below comes from our published pricing, shown in GBP with the set USD price in brackets.
- AI Presence Signal (free, under an hour): 12 buyer questions across GPT (OpenAI), Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, scored 0 to 100. It's automated and unsigned, and you can run the free AI Presence Signal right now.
- AI Presence (£849 ($1,099), 5 working days): a signed fact sheet, a scored audit and up to 10 profiles aligned, credited in full to the AI Visibility service if you book it within 30 days.
- AI Visibility (from £2,250 ($2,949), 10 working days): 100 to 150 buyer questions across five AI tools, your 10 highest-value pages fixed, 5 briefs for new pages, and a re-test at day 30. Signed by a named verifier, with the Accuracy Commitment.
- AI Growth (from £2,250 ($2,949) a month) or Quarterly Re-measurement (£595 ($799)): after the AI Visibility service, if you want ongoing tracking. AI Growth has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice.
We're not the right choice if you want 6 to 10 new pages written every month, review management or a multi-year content programme. First Page Sage lists all of those. We also don't buy links or placements, and we won't promise that any AI tool will name you. Our sample AI visibility report shows exactly what you'd get.
Weighing other US firms that AI tools named? We've compared ourselves the same way with Omniscient Digital, WebFX, Siege Media and NoGood. Every page is listed on the comparisons hub.
