ThriveFinity vs Siege Media for AI Search (GEO): Scope, Price and Terms

Two ways to buy AI search optimisation: a full-service GEO programme built on content, PR, Reddit and affiliates, or fixed-scope pieces of work from a one-person studio. What each publishes about scope, measurement, price and terms.

Siege Media suits a B2B software or fintech company that wants AI search run as a full-service programme, with original research, digital PR, Reddit, affiliate placements and regular page refreshes, over at least six months. It doesn't publish prices. ThriveFinity, which is us, suits a B2B company that wants AI search bought as a defined job, with a published price, a fixed list of buyer questions and a re-test of those same questions at day 30. The difference is between a programme that works mostly on other people's websites and a project that fixes yours and measures the result.

Google's page on whether you need an SEO, last updated in June 2026, now tells you to ask anyone selling AEO or GEO services whether their advice lines up with Google Search's official guidance. It's a fair question for both firms here, including us.

Facts about Siege Media come from its own website and its Clutch directory profile, as published on 31 October 2026. Services and prices change, so check its site before you decide. We have a commercial interest in this comparison and we're not affiliated with Siege Media. Where its pages are silent, the table says "not published". That doesn't mean it doesn't offer the thing. Ask.

Two Different Ways to Buy GEO

The two options differ in where the work happens and how long it runs.

Siege Media's homepage describes a full-service GEO agency that drives LLM visibility for startups and enterprises. Its menu groups services into Start, Grow and Scale, from content strategy and web design through to digital PR, Reddit marketing, affiliate partnerships and research reports. Its About page lists Ross Hudgens as Founder and CEO and mentions his book on generative engine optimisation, published by Wiley. Its Clutch profile gives 2012 as the founding year.

GEO (generative engine optimisation) is the work of getting AI assistants to find, cite and correctly describe your company. I explain the term in what generative engine optimisation is.

ThriveFinity sells AI search optimisation (GEO) as separate pieces of work: a free Signal, a fixed-price AI Presence service, an AI Visibility service priced by estimate and an optional monthly AI Growth plan. We're a one-person company registered in India, based in Chennai, serving B2B companies in the UK, the US and elsewhere. We have no US office. A named verifier signs every paid report.

So the first question is whether your gap is on your own site or out in the sources AI tools read.

Side-by-Side Comparison

The table lines up what each firm publishes on the same thirteen points. Siege Media's column quotes or summarises its own pages, plus its Clutch listing where its site is silent.

What Siege Media Publishes About Its AI Search Work

Siege Media's GEO service page opens with the line Get cited where buyers now decide and lists the work in some detail. Most of it builds your presence on other sites:

  • original research and data stories pitched to high-authority publishers
  • bottom-funnel content, including comparison and pricing pages, which it describes as the assets AI answers quote
  • a disclosed, brand-forward presence in Reddit and other communities
  • affiliate partnerships, which it says put you on sites like Bankrate, Wirecutter and G2
  • page refreshes at least quarterly through its DataFlywheel technology
  • calculators and interactive tools

That's a sensible reading of how AI answers are built. When an assistant names firms, it often draws on reviews, directories, publications and forums rather than the firms' own websites. I looked at which sources each assistant leans on in where each AI assistant gets its answers.

Two items deserve a question in any proposal. For affiliate partnerships, ask how the placement is paid for and disclosed, because a commission arrangement is a different thing from an editorial mention. For Reddit, the page itself says the presence is disclosed. Ask what that looks like in practice and who posts.

The page also sets out a phased plan. Months 1 to 2 cover market analysis, prompt-level citation mapping, a freshness audit, a baseline LLM share-of-voice benchmark and a 12-month roadmap. Months 2 to 4 cover research, content, PR and affiliate outreach, plus setting up the Reddit presence. From month 4, it reports monthly and reviews the roadmap each quarter.

Google's own position is worth keeping in mind when any firm describes AI-specific work:

There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimizations necessary.

Google Search Central · AI features and your website

That covers Google's AI features, not ChatGPT or Claude. Siege Media's fit list asks that you're already investing in SEO, content or brand, which is consistent with it.

What Each One Publishes About Price and Terms

Siege Media doesn't publish prices on the pages I checked. Its GEO page offers a free assessment and a conversation. The only figures I found are on its Clutch profile: a minimum project size of $5,000+ and an average hourly rate of $100 to $149. Its GEO page also says it suits brands that can commit to a 6+ month horizon, which tells you the shape of the engagement even without a number.

We publish every price on our pricing page. The AI Visibility service starts at £2,250 ($2,949), with an estimate within one business day once we know the scope, 50% paid once the scope is agreed and 50% before handover. AI Growth starts at £2,250 ($2,949) a month, with a 3-month minimum and then 30 days' notice. For a US company, those are set USD prices, not exchange-rate conversions.

Without a published Siege Media price, I can't compare totals. What I can say is that the units differ. A six-month content, PR and affiliate programme is a different purchase from a 10-working-day diagnosis with fixes to 10 pages and 5 briefs for new pages.

How Each One Measures Results

Measurement is where GEO proposals differ most, and it's hard to judge on a sales call. AI tools rarely give the same answer twice.

In January 2026, SparkToro and Gumshoe had 600 volunteers run 12 prompts through ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI a combined 2,961 times. Rand Fishkin reported a chance of less than 1 in 100 that ChatGPT or Google's AI would give the same list of brands in any two responses to the same prompt asked 100 times.

So a single run of each question tells you very little. What you want is a rate, such as named in 7 of 10 runs, measured the same way before and after the work. I go through the maths in measuring AI share of voice.

Siege Media's GEO page lists four measures: LLM share of voice in your category prompts, tracked monthly, citations earned on the content it touches, AI-referral traffic benchmarked against its own research, and branded search lift. It reports them monthly next to your organic and revenue KPIs. It doesn't say how many prompts it tracks or how many times each is run. Its timing is stated plainly: owned content and freshness wins typically show in the first quarter, and citation share builds over 3 to 6 months.

We measure a narrower thing with repeats built in. We ask each of 100 to 150 buyer questions 3 times in each of five AI tools, record how often you're named, recommended and described correctly against 3 to 5 competitors, and run the same set again at day 30. We don't track AI-referral traffic or branded search. If those are the numbers you care about, that's a point in Siege Media's favour.

When Siege Media Is the Better Choice

Siege Media is the better choice when your gap is presence on other people's sites, and you can give the work six months or more. These are the situations where I'd point you there rather than to us.

  • You need original research and digital PR. Its GEO page lists research reports and data stories pitched to publishers. We don't run PR.
  • You want affiliate and review-site placements, such as G2. Its GEO page lists affiliate partnerships. We don't buy placements.
  • You want a managed Reddit and community presence. Its menu lists Reddit marketing as its own service.
  • You want new content produced, including calculators and interactive tools. We write 5 briefs for new pages and don't build them.
  • You're a SaaS, fintech, e-commerce, cybersecurity, education or travel brand already investing in SEO or content. That's its stated fit.

The trade-off is the price conversation. With no published figure, you'll need a written proposal before you can compare.

Questions to Ask Any Provider

Ask both firms the same questions and get the answers in writing. Google's hiring advice is a good start. It suggests asking what results to expect and in what timeframe, how success is measured, and whether they'll share every change they make to your site. It also has a blunt line for anyone who promises the top spot:

If they guarantee you that their changes will give you first place in search results, find someone else.

Google Search Central · Do you need an SEO?

Then add the GEO-specific questions:

  1. Which buyer questions will you track, and can I see the full list before we start?
  2. Which AI tools do you test, and how many times do you run each question?
  3. When is the re-test, and will it use exactly the same questions and settings as the baseline?
  4. Which outside sites, communities and affiliates will you approach, and how is each placement paid for and disclosed?
  5. What does it cost each month, what's the minimum term and what's the notice period?
  6. What happens if a report contains a factual error?

The longer version, with red flags, is in our GEO agency buyer's guide. Before any of these calls, get a baseline of your own. My guide to running an AI visibility check shows how to do it in an afternoon.

How We Wrote This Comparison

We wrote this page because AI tools put Siege Media on US shortlists. When we asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity best AI visibility agencies in the US three times each on 31 October 2026, Siege Media was named in 6 of 12 answers. ThriveFinity was named in none of them.

Source: ThriveFinity AI-answer test, method in this section, 31 October 2026. One question, four AI models through their APIs, three runs each. A count of mentions, not a ranking of quality. Chart by ThriveFinity.

The test used the models through their APIs (gpt-5.4-mini, claude-haiku-5-5, gemini-3.5-flash and Perplexity sonar), not the consumer apps, and 12 answers is a small sample. It tells you how often a name came up. It says nothing about who does better work.

This page names a competitor, so advertising rules apply. Section 3 of the UK CAP Code says a comparison with an identifiable competitor must compare products meeting the same needs and must objectively compare material, relevant, verifiable and representative features. Regulation 4 of the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008 sets the same conditions. In the US, the FTC's policy statement on comparative advertising encourages naming competitors, but requires clarity and, where needed, disclosure.

So every fact about Siege Media links to the page it came from and is dated. I haven't repeated its traffic figures, client logos, customer stories or testimonials, because I can't verify them and quoting them would only repeat its marketing. Where its pages say nothing, the table says so.

Where ThriveFinity Fits

We fit when you want AI search work as a defined job with a known price and a measured before and after. Every price below comes from our published pricing, shown in GBP with the set USD price in brackets.

  • AI Presence Signal (free, under an hour): 12 buyer questions across GPT (OpenAI), Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, scored 0 to 100. It's automated and unsigned, and you can run the free AI Presence Signal right now.
  • AI Presence (£849 ($1,099), 5 working days): a signed fact sheet, a scored audit and up to 10 profiles aligned, credited in full to the AI Visibility service if you book it within 30 days.
  • AI Visibility (from £2,250 ($2,949), 10 working days): 100 to 150 buyer questions across five AI tools, your 10 highest-value pages fixed, 5 briefs for new pages, and a re-test at day 30. Signed by a named verifier, with the Accuracy Commitment.
  • AI Growth (from £2,250 ($2,949) a month) or Quarterly Re-measurement (£595 ($799)): after the AI Visibility service, if you want ongoing tracking. AI Growth has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice.

We're not the right choice if you need research reports, digital PR, affiliate placements, a managed community presence or content built at volume. Siege Media lists all of those. We also don't buy links or placements, and we won't promise that any AI tool will name you. Our sample AI visibility report shows exactly what you'd get.

Weighing other US firms that AI tools named? We've compared ourselves the same way with Omniscient Digital, WebFX, First Page Sage and NoGood. Every page is listed on the comparisons hub.
