NoGood suits a B2B company that wants AI search handled by a growth marketing team that also runs its paid search, social ads, content and analytics, on a custom monthly retainer. Its FAQ says its average retainer is above $20,000 a month. ThriveFinity, which is us, suits a B2B company that wants AI search bought as a defined job, with a published price, a fixed list of buyer questions and a re-test of those same questions at day 30. NoGood calls the work AEO (answer engine optimisation). We call it GEO. It's the same need.
Google's page on whether you need an SEO, last updated in June 2026, now tells you to ask anyone selling AEO or GEO services whether their advice lines up with Google Search's official guidance. It's a fair question for both firms here, including us.
Facts about NoGood come from its own website and its Clutch directory profile, as published on 31 October 2026. Services and prices change, so check its site before you decide. We have a commercial interest in this comparison and we're not affiliated with NoGood. Where its pages are silent, the table says "not published". That doesn't mean it doesn't offer the thing. Ask.
Two Different Ways to Buy AI Search Work
The two options differ in how much of your marketing they cover and how they price it.
NoGood's homepage describes an AI-native growth marketing agency, with a menu that runs from AEO and SEO through organic social, social ads, paid search, CRO and analytics to a fractional CMO service and a creative studio. It says it's headquartered in New York, with hubs in Miami and Dubai. Its About page names Mostafa M. Elbermawy as Founder and CEO and counts 70+ people. Its Clutch profile gives 2016 as the founding year.
AEO and GEO are two names for roughly the same job: getting AI assistants to find, cite and correctly describe your company. I explain the term in what generative engine optimisation is.
ThriveFinity sells AI search optimisation (GEO) as separate pieces of work: a free Signal, a fixed-price AI Presence service, an AI Visibility service priced by estimate and an optional monthly AI Growth plan. We're a one-person company registered in India, based in Chennai, serving B2B companies in the UK, the US and elsewhere. We have no US office. A named verifier signs every paid report.
So the first question is whether AI search is one line in a wider growth brief or the whole job.
Side-by-Side Comparison
The table lines up what each firm publishes on the same thirteen points. NoGood's column quotes or summarises its own pages, plus its Clutch listing where its site is silent.

What NoGood Publishes About Its AEO Work
NoGood's AEO service page lists 16 deliverables. Grouped by where the work happens, they look like this:
- research and planning: LLM visibility audit, AEO competitive analysis, content intent analysis, prompt research and monitoring, authority and citation analysis, AEO strategy
- your own site: AEO content development, schema markup and structured data, an AEO technical audit, site architecture and dynamic copy updates
- other sites: reputation management and digital PR, and a social citation strategy
- ongoing: AI search performance monitoring, goal setup, and agentic commerce optimisation
It names more AI tools than most agency pages do: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Google AI, Perplexity, Copilot, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. For a B2B company, the off-site items matter most. When an assistant names firms, it often leans on reviews, publications and community threads rather than the firms' own sites. I looked at which sources each assistant uses in where each AI assistant gets its answers.
The page names Goodie AI, an AEO monitoring platform, as part of how it tracks results, and says it uses its own monitoring technology to track continuously, not only at quarterly check-ins. That's a real difference from a project with a single re-test.
Google's own position is worth keeping in mind when any firm describes AI-specific work:
There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimizations necessary.
That covers Google's AI features, not ChatGPT or Claude. NoGood's AEO page says AEO follows a similar timeline to SEO, which is consistent with Google's guidance.
What I couldn't find: how many prompts it tracks, how many times each is run, a reporting cadence, a minimum term or a guarantee. Its pages invite you to talk to the team, and there's no free audit listed. None of that is unusual for an agency that scopes every engagement. It just means you'll need to ask.
What Each One Publishes About Price and Terms
NoGood publishes one figure, in a homepage FAQ about what it costs to hire the agency. Engagements are monthly retainers, the average retainer is above $20,000 a month, and it doesn't offer standardised packages. That's an average across its engagements, not a price for AEO alone, and the FAQ says each engagement is scoped to your needs. Its Clutch profile lists minimum project size and hourly rate as undisclosed.
We publish every price on our pricing page. The AI Visibility service starts at £2,250 ($2,949), with an estimate within one business day once we know the scope, 50% paid once the scope is agreed and 50% before handover. AI Growth starts at £2,250 ($2,949) a month, with a 3-month minimum and then 30 days' notice. For a US company, those are set USD prices, not exchange-rate conversions.
The figures aren't the same unit. A retainer buys a team working across several channels every month. Our AI Visibility service buys a 10-working-day diagnosis, fixes to 10 pages and 5 briefs for new pages, then a re-test. If AEO is the only thing you'd hire NoGood for, ask what an AEO-only scope would cost.
How Each One Measures Results
Measurement is where AI search proposals differ most, and it's hard to judge on a sales call. AI tools rarely give the same answer twice.
In January 2026, SparkToro and Gumshoe had 600 volunteers run 12 prompts through ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI a combined 2,961 times. Rand Fishkin reported a chance of less than 1 in 100 that ChatGPT or Google's AI would give the same list of brands in any two responses to the same prompt asked 100 times.
So a single run of each question tells you very little. What you want is a rate, such as named in 7 of 10 runs, measured the same way before and after the work. I go through the maths in measuring AI share of voice.
NoGood's AEO page says it measures through a mix of AI-specific metrics and business outcomes. On the AI side: how often the brand is mentioned, how often its content is cited, share of voice against competitors, whether AI tools describe the brand accurately, and its position in AI recommendations. On the business side: referral traffic from AI platforms, set up as custom channel groups in GA4, conversion rates for those visitors, and pipeline or revenue tied to AI search. That's a broader view than ours.
We measure a narrower thing with repeats built in. We ask each of 100 to 150 buyer questions 3 times in each of five AI tools, record how often you're named, recommended and described correctly against 3 to 5 competitors, and run the same set again at day 30. We don't track AI referral traffic, conversions or revenue. If those are the numbers your board wants, that's a point in NoGood's favour.
When NoGood Is the Better Choice
NoGood is the better choice when AI search is one part of a wider growth brief and you want one team running paid, organic and AI search together. These are the situations where I'd point you there rather than to us.
- You need paid channels too. Its menu lists paid search, social ads and performance branding. We don't run paid media.
- You want AI search tied to traffic, conversions and revenue. Its AEO page lists GA4 channel groups, conversion rates and pipeline. We report on AI answers, not on revenue.
- You want continuous monitoring rather than a before and after. Its AEO page says it tracks continuously, through Goodie AI and its own technology.
- You want content, video and social made for you. It lists a design studio, content creation, video and organic social.
- You also sell in the Gulf. It lists a hub in Dubai.
The trade-off is the price conversation. With custom scoping and a stated average above $20,000 a month, get a written AEO scope, minimum term and notice period before you compare.
Questions to Ask Any Provider
Ask both firms the same questions and get the answers in writing. Google's hiring advice is a good start. It suggests asking what results to expect and in what timeframe, how success is measured, and whether they'll share every change they make to your site. It also has a blunt line for anyone who promises the top spot:
If they guarantee you that their changes will give you first place in search results, find someone else.
Then add the AI-specific questions:
- Which buyer questions will you track, and can I see the full list before we start?
- Which AI tools do you test, and how many times do you run each question?
- When is the re-test, and will it use exactly the same questions and settings as the baseline?
- What exactly will you change, and who does the work: you, or my team from your list?
- What would an AI-search-only scope cost, what's the minimum term and what's the notice period?
- What happens if a report contains a factual error?
The longer version, with red flags, is in our GEO agency buyer's guide. Before any of these calls, get a baseline of your own. My guide to running an AI visibility check shows how to do it in an afternoon.
How We Wrote This Comparison
We wrote this page because AI tools put NoGood on US shortlists. When we asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity best AI visibility agencies in the US three times each on 31 October 2026, NoGood was named in 6 of 12 answers. ThriveFinity was named in none of them.
| Omniscient Digital | 7 of 12 |
|---|---|
| WebFX | 7 of 12 |
| First Page Sage | 6 of 12 |
| Siege Media | 6 of 12 |
| NoGood | 6 of 12 |
| ThriveFinity | 0 of 12 |
Source: ThriveFinity AI-answer test, method in this section, 31 October 2026. One question, four AI models through their APIs, three runs each. A count of mentions, not a ranking of quality. Chart by ThriveFinity.
The test used the models through their APIs (gpt-5.4-mini, claude-haiku-5-5, gemini-3.5-flash and Perplexity sonar), not the consumer apps, and 12 answers is a small sample. It tells you how often a name came up. It says nothing about who does better work.
This page names a competitor, so advertising rules apply. Section 3 of the UK CAP Code says a comparison with an identifiable competitor must compare products meeting the same needs and must objectively compare material, relevant, verifiable and representative features. Regulation 4 of the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008 sets the same conditions. In the US, the FTC's policy statement on comparative advertising encourages naming competitors, but requires clarity and, where needed, disclosure.
So every fact about NoGood links to the page it came from and is dated. I haven't repeated its client results, retention rate, awards, client logos or testimonials, because I can't verify them and quoting them would only repeat its marketing. Where its pages say nothing, the table says so.

Where ThriveFinity Fits
We fit when you want AI search work as a defined job with a known price and a measured before and after. Every price below comes from our published pricing, shown in GBP with the set USD price in brackets.
- AI Presence Signal (free, under an hour): 12 buyer questions across GPT (OpenAI), Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, scored 0 to 100. It's automated and unsigned, and you can run the free AI Presence Signal right now.
- AI Presence (£849 ($1,099), 5 working days): a signed fact sheet, a scored audit and up to 10 profiles aligned, credited in full to the AI Visibility service if you book it within 30 days.
- AI Visibility (from £2,250 ($2,949), 10 working days): 100 to 150 buyer questions across five AI tools, your 10 highest-value pages fixed, 5 briefs for new pages, and a re-test at day 30. Signed by a named verifier, with the Accuracy Commitment.
- AI Growth (from £2,250 ($2,949) a month) or Quarterly Re-measurement (£595 ($799)): after the AI Visibility service, if you want ongoing tracking. AI Growth has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice.
We're not the right choice if you need paid media, social, video, CRO or a growth team working across every channel. NoGood lists all of those. We also don't buy links or placements, and we won't promise that any AI tool will name you. Our sample AI visibility report shows exactly what you'd get.
Weighing other US firms that AI tools named? We've compared ourselves the same way with Omniscient Digital, WebFX, First Page Sage and Siege Media. Every page is listed on the comparisons hub.
